So, this is going to be about Food, and how... I keep learning new things everyday and everything I know is wrong!
Long story short, my son has been dealing with stomach issues and just now, 3 years later found out that he has low stomach acid. Another long story short, we were told to basically put him on the Paleo Diet, and so my husband, daughter and I have joined in as well. By doing this it will help build his natural acids in his stomach but will also be beneficial for us all!
It's been a couple weeks now since we have been implementing the diet/way of eating and it really does make sense. It can be tough thinking of meal ideas, but I have a great cookbook which gives a ton of different ways to eat. Like, instead of regular spaghetti noodles, use spaghetti squash. So we made spaghetti and turkey meatballs
(you can use regular meat) and we made our own sauce and it was really delicious. The Spaghetti Squash is the new... apple! :) The Paleo way also tells you not to worry about counting calories or fat! I love it! So far so good, and I have been losing weight.
You would think as a dancer I would know a ton about nutrition. Well, I thought I did but this journey called life has been very eye opening. I hope that I can educate others or inspire others to eat differently. I mean why eat things that are essentially killing us.
It's especially hard in the "Dancer/Entertainment" indurstry to maintain a healthy appearance. I have seen so many just stop eating. Which is sad. Some think if we don't eat then, lose weight. I can tell you, I am eating the Paleo way, and I have lost weight from eating the right things, and staying away from things I thought were healthy like pasta and rice...
Definitely do your research and be open minded if you want to live longer! I hope everyone is having a great week so far!
